No matter how many gas masks were distributed, they were as good as useless during a gas attack if people didnt know how to keep them and use them. This Public Information leaflet sought to address the problem by impressing upon its readers the life-saving role of their respirators. It offered this stern piece of advice:
TAKE CARE OF YOUR GAS MASK AND YOUR GAS MASK WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU.
