This Public Information leaflet was published by the Lord Privy Seal’s Office to prepare the civilian population for war. Topics included Air Raid Warnings, Gas Masks, Lighting Restrictions, Fire Precautions and Evacuation.
Although the shadow of war had been looming for some time, readers of this leaflet could have had little notion that it would be upon them in a matter of weeks.
