How to find us

From the clock tower in the Market Place:
Kirkgate is the road leading to your right as you look towards the Nat West bank. As you follow this road, the Museum is on your right, just past Electroworld and opposite the Zillah Bell Gallery.

From the car park in Marage Road:
Follow Marage Road towards the church. Turn left here into Kirkgate. The Museum is on your left.

Parking

Parking in the Market Place is limited to a maximum of two hours, of which the first hour is free. You can also park in the Short Stay and Long Stay car parks in Marage Road. From Easter to the end of October:
Monday to Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
10.00am to 4.00pm
Closed Thursday and Sunday

Admission

Adults: £2.00
Children: Free when accompanied by an adult
Students: £1.00 on production of a valid student card
Museum Society members: Free

Group visits

Groups and school parties of up to 30 can be accommodated (both during and outside normal opening times) by prior arrangement. Special discounted admission rates apply. Guided tours are available on request.

Facilities for disabled visitors

There is a ramped entrance to the ground floor but narrow stairs limit access for wheelchair users. For visitors unable to use the stairs, a ‘virtual tour’ of the Museum on DVD can be viewed in the reception area. You may bring guide dogs into the Museum.
