Save Waste Paper leaflet

Householders were urged to separate paper from other types of waste so it could be reclaimed to reduce the need for imported wood pulp. It’s a message that sounds very familiar today, when paper for recycling is often collected in a similar way.

Printed on the reverse is a message explaining why reclaimed paper and cardboard were necessary to the war effort. No longer could Britain depend on raw materials imported from overseas. Every resource needed by industry had to be conserved and reused wherever possible.
