Salute the Soldier Week was an event held across the country in 1944 to raise funds for the army. It was orgainised in a similar way to the Wings for Victory Week the previous year, with each county being set a target for the amount of money they should try to raise. Plaques were awarded by the War Office where these targets were successfully reached.
