Home Guard
The bond among members of the Home Guard outlasted its disbandment near the end of the war. Former members joined Old Comrades associations so they could keep in touch and take part in social activities. This membership card is from the 6th North Riding of Yorkshire Home Guard Old Comrades Association.
This card belonged to Mr Wilson of Easingwold. Membership was on an annual basis. The Association’s Secretary was Major Whitely of York.
