Bomb Fragment

This scrap of twisted metal, with some of its black paint still intact, came from a German bomb dropped near Thirsk in 1940. Attached is a label which reads: “Fragment German Bomb Casing found at Crosby Nr Thirsk. FIRST AIR RAID 1940.”
