“Thirsk and Sowerby through Time” is the third book in our series based on early photographs from the Museum’s collection. This time the theme is “Then & Now”, with modern colour photographs showing views and activities featured in old postcards and prints.

Over two hundred photographs of Thirsk and its surrounding villages have been chosen to create a vivid visual impression of a period at once familiar and remote.
